Meet the Founder
Huba Mduda is a risk management professional, certified actuary, and an unwavering advocate for dismantling barriers that perpetuate inequality among youth globally. Born and raised in Dar es Salaam, Huba attended Canossa Girls Secondary school before eventually receiving an academic scholarship to study at the prestigious International School of Tanganyika. In school, she excelled in Math and played an active role in student government. Most importantly, Huba discovered her passion for community service and soon became the secretary for her school’s program with The Mother Theresa Foundation.
As a recipient of scholarships, she firmly believes in paying it forward. Over the past decade, Huba has partnered with numerous organizations to offer financial support for girls' education in her hometown. After a decade of consistent giving back, In 2024, she founded Mwezeshe as a tribute to those who opened doors for her.
Huba holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Drawing from her personal experience and professional expertise, she remains deeply committed to creating a world where young women not only survive but shine.
